Experience Overview
Description
I have worked as a medical virtual assistant since 2020 and I've worked for podiatrists, psychiatrists, and DME providers. I was also a provider and member services representative for a New York health insurance company. I was not able to graduate college because of lack of funds but I made sure that I could provide financial assistance to my family by working.
If you need a dependable VA, you can count me in. I can help set up appointments, verify the patient's insurance coverage, request prior authorization, handle inbound and outbound calls, and many more. I am also familiar with tools such as Salesforce, AdvancedMD, Brightree, Tebra, Healthcare insurance portals such as Availity, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Evicore, and many more. I understand that my skills are still lacking but if given a chance for the position, I am willing to undergo training and do self-study if needed.
I can say that I am flexible, highly trainable, a team player, and hardworking. My goal as a VA has always been to help my clients the best way I can so that they can focus more on the job they love most.
I have listed below the skills I learned from my previous jobs:
Medical Authorization
Insurance Verification
Inbound/Outbound Call Management
Appointment Scheduling

Health Insurance Portal Navigation
